The process to select our 2008 Officers and board members officially began at the September board meeting. Nominations for the 2008 Officers were made and accepted by the nominees. These nominations are then open to all MNW members at the October general meeting. I would like to encourage everyone to consider running for an Officer or Board position. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved, have your voice heard and guide this great club into the future.

Brief summaries of the officer positions are:

President: Provide leadership, Chair General & Board meetings, Monitor financials, Write monthly article for the newsletter, Major spokesperson for the club and have a good sense of humor.

Vice President: Act on behalf of the President at General & Board meetings due to any absence and coordinate the annual banquet in January.

Secretary: Attend all General / Board meetings and take meeting minutes to document club activity.

Treasurer: Attend all General / Board meetings and conduct all of the financials for the club. Provide monthly financial reports at all board meetings. Pay the bills!

Membership: Maintain a current roster of all club members, their renewal dates, collection of dues, picking up the mail at the PO box, present new member applications at board meetings, present new members at general meetings.
