Notes From The Editor - February 09

Ahh....February! A time when the ground is still frosty and cold, commuters have to get up early to scrape ice off of their windshields in the morning, and the threat of more snow is still upon us. But despite the fact that Spring and all the warmth it brings, is still a few months away, February Love is in the air. Before you know it, kids will be exchanging little paper Valentines, and it will be time for candlelit dinners, chocolate kisses, and rekindling romances by the warmth of a fire.

And let's not forget that February can also be a time to rekindle that passion for Mustangs Northwest and the Mustang Hobby as a whole. With a new year comes great opportunities and the chance to jump in and join in the "Love Fest". Your 2009 Roundup committee has been hard at work planning and preparing to make this year's four-day series of events a huge success. From a fabulous Pony Trails and Judged Show to a World-Class Autocross and People's Choice show, our 2009 Roundup committee would love to "Share the Love" with you. Some positions still available and needing extra "Love" this year, are Parking, the Saturday night Banquet, a Ride and Drive event, a Vendors coordinator, and countless others. Please contact your 2009 Roundup chairs Ron Foster or Lois Robinson for a full list of opportunities.

Without the Love we have for each other and the Passion that is exhibited for this wonderful club and the Mustang hobby, Mustangs Northwest couldn't exist. Although we love the gorgeous cars, and the trophies and accolades they bring, the people are what make this club what it is today. So don't hold back and think that you may not have anything special to offer. Jump right in and join the "Love Fest" by volunteering today!

Happy Valentine's Day!
