The Webster's dictionary describes "PASSION" as a powerful feeling - the object of such love or desire, and great enthusiasm! If you were unable to attend the March general meeting then you really missed out on a wonderful presentation about the 1964 ½ through 1970 Mustangs, by club member Rob Ogden. Rob is extremely passionate about Mustangs, and it really showed during his presentation. The audience was captivated by his photographs and details about the early year Mustangs, and in particular the "Special" Mustangs like the High Country Special, California Special, and Twister Special, just to name a few. I would like to give a huge Thank You to Rob for taking two years in preparing the information and sharing his knowledge, and even greater passion with all of us.

The other Thank You goes out to Scott Robinson for giving us some great information about the oil we run in our older cars. The newer oils of today do not contain the correct levels of ZDDP (Zink Dialkyl Dithio Phosphate) - say that five times fast - needed to protect older cars with flat tappets. What great timing, as I just received my newly rebuilt engine four days after the meeting! I asked my engine builder about the break-in of my new engine and the first thing out of his mouth was be sure to purchase some ZDDP additive to protect the cam and be sure to use the additive at each and every oil change. Wow, all I can say is, "Thank You Scott!"

These two individuals absolutely epitomize why I joined Mustangs Northwest in the first place. To increase my knowledge about the car's I love, and to share that same passion with others.

So my message to you is this: "Share YOUR passion with others! The reward is priceless!"
