“PEOPLE’S CHOICE SHOW”
By Ron Foster
Sunday was a great day, with the usual sunny weather and a lot of Mustangs. Our gate Chairperson told me that we had 843 paid entries. Not bad numbers, but with the economy what it is, that is understandable. I'm sure that the number of cars next year will be much greater for the MCA Grand National Show. This year's show came off smoothly with very few problems. There were mixed reactions to the new location for the Judged Show, and we will have to see how that plays out next year for the 2010 show.
The decision of awarding the Judged show trophies earlier in the day was a good idea, as it made the People's Choice awards ceremony much shorter. Kudos to Lance Lambert for a great job with the Judged show and Jeanie McCain and Hugh Carino for making the People's Choice awards flow right along so that we were able to end the show exactly on time.
All in all, another successful Roundup, brought to you by a very hard working and dedicated team of Roundup committee members and volunteers, whose love for their cars and their club, enabled us to again put on the "World's Largest Annual Gathering of Mustangs". A special Thank You our major sponsor, National Parts Depot, and to all of our vendors for their participation and support, and a very special Thank You is in order for all of our volunteers, for without them, there would be no Roundup.
I look forward to seeing you all again next year for Roundup 2010 and the MCA Grand National Show!
