Parting Thoughts From The Prez
Thanksgiving is barely over and Christmas is right around the corner. Where has 2009 gone? In fact where has the past three years gone? This is my final Presidents page for a fantastic Mustangs Northwest organization. I would like to start off by saying “THANK YOU” to each and every one of you for allowing me and my family to be a part of something much greater than I could have ever expected. The friends I have made at Mustangs Northwest will last a lifetime. The experience of serving as your President these past three years has been extremely fulfilling for me personally. Some of the accomplishments that I am most proud to have been a part of include: a new Web Site, the purchase of a projector for the club general meetings to bring information to you in a more fun and visual way, the 2010 MCA Grand National, receiving the Eagle One Award for the NW region, signing checks for nearly $30,000 for NW charities, honoring our Mustangs Northwest Veterans as well as families who have loved ones still serving, and honoring club members that have passed away, Bob & Di Albert, Rick Kolb and Bob Learman.
I am so blessed to have had the support of my family throughout my term as President. My daughters Janell and Keri, and son Tyler have all helped me out with anything I asked of them. Roundup, Banquets, Tack Shack and Newsletter editor just to name a few. Saving the best for last, I need to thank Connie for her unconditional love, support and advice. She is truly the person who kept me on track as I had to make some of those tough decisions. She was there encouraging me to always do the right thing, not to cut corners, do it right, and treat others like I would like to be treated.
I could certainly go on and on writing about my family, but the bottom line is all of you have made me and my family so very welcome to Mustangs Northwest and provided me with
“The ride of a lifetime”
