- 1965 GT Coupe - Looking for a special home -
Our car is a beautifully maintained 1965 Mustang GT hard top coupe. It has 121,420 original miles on the Stock 289 A with a recent, professionally rebuilt Holley 4 bbl. carburetor. The ignition system was converted to electronic two years ago. It has the stock 3 speed automatic transmission that shifts perfectly. The car drives and performs safely, but a few front end bushings will need some attention in a few years. This car is very responsive and fast!
The interior of the car is of the pony vintage (even the stereo) with wood grain instrument console and steering wheel. There are no splits on the dashboard. The seats are in very good condition except for a small seam split on the rear bench. The body is in very good condition except for a small rust dimple on the LF quarter panel and a 2 inch by 1 inch spot repair (noticeable) on the top portion of the RR quarter panel. It has raised white letter tires that are in almost new condition. We’ve always garaged the car and we rarely get a chance to drive it these days. We got our Mustang from a classic restorer in New Hampshire 5 years ago and enjoyed immensely for a few years, but with young kids, it has become more of a liability than a joy for us. In fact we’re selling it to upgrade our family car. The turn signal canceling ring was recently repaired by a reputable Mustang specialty shop and we had them do a complete inspection of the car which is available upon request. The car needs a good home and someone to love it. We will consider all respectful and reasonable offers in the $15K range. We have many more photos and stories.
